Police Investigate house fire

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a house fire at around 7 p.m. in the area of 1040 Northeast 212 Terrace in Northeast Miami-Dade. According to officials, a neighbor reported that two children could be inside the home. Firefighters conducted multiple checks and said no one was inside the home at the time of the fire. "We have done multiple secondary searches so we are confidant that there is no one inside the home, but we have not been able to speak with the children that were reported to be inside the home when the fire originally occurred," said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Chief Jose Herrera. At this time, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
